Hi I’m Mish, the Travel Writer behind Culture Columnist. I have a BA and MA in Fine Art from the Haute école spécialisée de Suisse occidentale.
I am from Ireland and I began traveling as soon as I was old enough to apply for a passport. I’ve lived in Switzerland, Greece and Ireland for most of my adult life and this blog is my way to help fellow travellers who are planning to embark on their own adventures to find all the information they need to make their trip enjoyable and memorable.
I love all things travel related and I have a particular penchant for outdoor adventure, cultural diversity and travel photography. I became obsessed with travel through the Pilot Guides TV program with Ian Write, Justine Shapiro and Megan McCormick.
They inspired me to explore the world beyond my own backyard, sparking a passion for discovering new places, people, and experiences.
Travel writing and travel photography has become a way for me to capture and share these moments, a visual diary of my adventures that connects others to the beauty and diversity of the places I visit.
In doing so, I aim to inspire and encourage others to embark on their own journeys of exploration and discovery.
